Part 1

The first thing that one must do when beginning to create a blog that will create income for them is to choose a niche. A niche is a topic or theme that your blog is going to focus on. For example your blog could be about tools, you would write articles about new tools, tool features, different kinds of tools and so on. These articles would be helpful to people that are trying to learn about tools. Then  since the people that will be coming to your site are interested in tools you can sell tools and also sell advertising about tool related sites. Your chances of having a sale go up because you know that your readers are interested in tools.  Your sales also increase with a blog because as you write high quality content and keep your articles fresh and informative your readers will follow you and they will get to know you as an expert and will choose to buy off of you before anyone else.

 All blogs must have a niche because if they do not the visitors will not know what they are looking at. Also you want to bring targeted visitors to your website, the type that will be interested in the information that you will be sharing on your blog. How do you choose a niche? First choose a topic that you have knowledge in or a topic that would be interested in learning about.  Don't choose a topic that doesn't interest you because if you want to have success you must enjoy what your are doing.

Also try to find a niche that does not have too much competition. You can do this by checking out how much competition is out there for your specific niche by checking the keywords for your niche. You want to make sure that you can find a niche that is not to crowded but also make sure that there is interest out there for the topic you choose.
